Gesso & Fran-tage

It's time to play! Well... to be honest, we do a lot of playing here ;)
But this week I got told to think "Paint" when I was going to create something inspiring.
It might not come as a surprise that most of us girls have been using Gesso for these projects, and so did I! I added a touch of fran-tage too, even though I don't think it qualifies as paint;

I have used lovely papers from Pion Design and Maja Design. The picture is from the 12 x 12 Images paper from Alma's. I have used a 1 inch circle to punch out the rose, where I added a pebble and made it the center of my frame. The frame is also painted with gesso ;)
I added a few pearls to spice up my decoration, as it's my main focus instead of lots of flowers.
The sentiment says: Made with love, specially for you. It was printed on my computer.
Wishing you all a great weekend and thank you for stopping by :O)

Purple Princess

Hi everyone, Becky here today with my 'paint' project.

I couldn't stay away from purple, lol. I've coloured Tilda in cotton dress with distress markers and made her crown sparkle with glamour dust. There is also a sprinkling of shabby white frantage around the image.

The papers are from Maja Designs Vintage Spring basics 6x6 pad, the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain.

I've used one of the gorgeous Melissa Frances crown embellishments, and then frantaged it with shabby white.

The roses are from my stash, there are links at the end of the post to the other ones, have you seen how cute those little diddy organza flowers are?

As this is going live I should be taking off for a week in the sun, I'm off to Zante with the kids, and after being away from them on a training course for a week recently I am looking forward to it all the more.

Hugs,

Good Morning Everyone,
Sandy here to quickly post Tina's Inspirational Card for this week's theme, "paint".

Tina loves lilac and has for her card today used the lilac sheets from Maja Design's Vintage Spring Basics Collection:
The paint element is the gesso, applied to the clay heart, the sentiment, the flowers and onto the DPs.

Here's a close up pf the beautiful arraangment. In the lower right hand corner you can see the new pearl stamens.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Simply vintage

Morning Crafters,

I hope you all had a better weekend than me.  My son said to me before he left the house Thursday evening to make sure I was awake at midnight as he wanted to wish me a Happy Birthday so when my mobile rang at 11:24 I thought it was just that.  Unfortunately it was that call that all parents dread when their son/daughter has only been driving a few weeks.  He said, "Mum,I've had an accident".  My iphone went dead, dam batteries on iphones, and my legs to jelly as I scrambled upstairs to find my Daughter's mobile ringing.  He went on to say he had hit a tree!  He was in 2nd gear, as he had just come off a roundabout and was on a straight and just about to change gear when he said the car started to veer to the right and he really doesn't know why it did that.  Well he knew he didn't want to be on the other side of the road, so he turned the steering wheel to the left to try and correct the car. The end result was he went up the kerb, skidded down an hill and into a tree and then fell a further 20ft. It was my car he was driving and it is a write-off, so I have a few hurdles to overcome this week.  I am soooo very thankful that they all made it out without a scratch. All his friends think he saved their lives, as he acted so cool and controlled the car.  Hubby said it would have been easy to roll it , but I don't want to think about any more scenario's as I'll be in tears again.  Needless to say my birthday was a complete washout, but I still have my Son for which I am goooo grateful.

Fortunately I had made this card before I became an emotional wreck and the theme us LLC girlies will be following this week is "paint".  A real easy one for me as I love my gesso, don't know if you have noticed  I have again used those gorgeous new Vintage Garden papers from PionDesign and speaking of which, didn't the girls do a fab job of showcasing them last week, a big WOW!

I have used a vintage image and just look at the beautiful lace prima flower, isn't it gorgeous.

I have also added some Kort and Godt rolled roses in pink, those fabulous apples and a little mini apple and some Kort and Godt hortsensia's, some pearl stamens and a shabby vintage bark heart and of course a coating of white gesso paint here and there.

A close up of the flower arrangement.
This is the right hand side.  The little Scotts Roses ticket is from the recent Vintage Garden release, Phlox.  All links are at the end of the post as usual.  I have added a little wooden peg but of course painted it first with white gesso.
To the top of the card I added one of the little canvas corp mini  bags and added a Magnolia Doohickey SoWrapped Lovely tag and finished off with some pink La Vie En Rose lace and finished off with a Vintage Findings Antique Jeweled  Pearl Pendant.

 And a last look

Have a good week.

Vintage Garden

Hi and very welcome LLC fans!

Today its sunday and Id (Louise) like to showcase this weeks creation. One of my absolute fav paper makers, Pion Design, just recently released an all new collection called Vintage Garden. I probably don't have to write Im sooooo in love ha? Well, Ill tell you anyways ;) As always there are so many amazing sheets to chose from so I absolutely had to have them all. Those of you that follow me probably have understood that I fancy pink and I was sooooo happy to see there is some a little more vibrant this time.

The stamp I used is a Magnolia stamp released in the most recent christmas collection but I think she's very versatile and can be used for any occasion really. She is colored with my di pads on 300 g watercolor paper from The Langton. I have added stickles various places of Tilda with my fav Star dust. I have also used some Frantage in the color Shabby green. Its lovely, isn't it? The little banners are from the cut out sheet and so is that adorable little vintage picture I placed in the middle. The pink gingham ribbon is fairly newly stocked and its my first time using it. Thats also the case for that beyond GORGE lace with pearls!!! Oh my gawd...loooooove it! Totally shabby :) The shabby chic little cherub is an item Id like to add to ALL of my LLC cards but that would bore you so I haven't used one in a wee while, can you see I added it to the ribbon?
If you'd like to take a closer look at what I used pls check the end of this posting as I have an Inlinkz gallery there. Just click the picture and it will take you right there.

Im hoping you will like this weeks make :)

Lots of love

Blue Vintage Garden

Good Morning Everyone,
Well, it's not often I write good morning on a Saturday...usually I spend Saturdays making my card, but as I'm off to the Chelsea Flower Show today, this card I actually finished yesterday. :-)

The Chelsea Flower Show is celebrating it's 100th anniversary this year, so we couldn't have picked a better theme this week, as we've all been working with Pion Design's new "Vintage Garden" Collection!

Here's my card:
One of my favourite sheets of all times from Pion Design is "Ornament" from the Studio of Memories Collection, so I was thrilled to find a blue ornament sheet being part of the Vintage Garden Collection!
I have used both the back and the front of this sheet.
The card shape was cut by my Cameo, and the gorgeous image is from the Vintage Garden Image Sheet.

Here are some details:

This is a birthday card for a lady who loves sewing: I used the hanger and the dress form chipboard pieces from Maya Road's Mini Sewing Chipboard Set and covered them with "shabby white" frantage. Also the frame around the image and the small pennant flags have been frantaged.
To the mini clothespins and the mini sewing spool, I added some gesso.

I lined the top of the card with my favourite lace at the moment, the stunning white pearl lace with beads. The lace towards the bottom of the card is another favourite of mine, lace "Reinette" from Kort & Godt.

At least but not at least....in case you haven't seen it:
There's 10% off at the store until Monday at midnight GMT!!!

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugz, Sandy

LLC Lace Book

It's a new week and a new Thursday, which is Elin's day :o)
This week we are playing with Pion Design latest collection Vintage Garden, and I have to admit that I had my doubts about this one... Well, I was wrong!
I have fallen in love with the gorgeous flowers on these papers, and the motif on today's project is one of my favourites:
Today's inspiration is not a card, but a Lace Book!
Several of my friends and "blog-inspirators" have done these books lately, and they use them to store their broad laces. I figured it was time to give it a try, and since I have got loads of gorgeous LLC laces, I thought I would make a LLC Lace book for myself! So prepare yourself for a picture heavy post ;)
As you can see, there is only a front to this book. The inside contains 4 pages in chipboard, which I have wrapped my laces around.

Here is a picture from the side, and I realized along the way that my book was WAY to little for all my jummy LLC laces... so these are just a small selection of my gorgeous LLC laces and trims. ♥
Keep in mind that all the laces you see here, can be bought from LLC. Just click the pictures on the bottom and they will take you straight to the store.
And of course a few closeup details:
Hope you enjoyed the book, now it's time to make a new and bigger one :D
Hugs & Kisses
Elin

Charming Vintage Garden

Hi everyone, Becky here today with my card using the new Vintage Garden papers from Pion Design.

I've used both sides of Blue Ornament, and the reverse side of 'Tags'. I love the colour combo blue and brown, and I love these papers. The edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool and then machine sewn.

I've coloured Charmings, from Saturated Canary, in with distress markers and as always I've added sparkle with glamour dust.

I've made a bow with Chocolate Crispy Ribbon and used an Antique Jeweled Pearl Pendant, but I removed the loop.

Close up of the flowers.

Hugs,

Becky xx

Friends are Flowers in Life's Garden

A very Good Morning to you all,
it's an excited Sandy here. Excited to show you Tina's card made with Pion Design's new collection "Vintage Garden".

So let's take a look at what Tina has created...

Tina made this beautiful paperbag card...and check out the gorgeous tag:

Here's a close up of the upper part of the card:
Note the mini paperbag in kraft on the left, holding the almanac tag.
A bit of frantage around the image, and also the butterfly charm and the hinge clip were embossed with "Shabby Pink".
Speaking of frantage, I had some more delivered yesterday, so the popular Shabby White is now back in stock again! :-)

Another close up of the beautiful images and the flower display:

Thanks for stopping by today.
Please come back tomorrow to see Becky's beautiful card.
Hugz,
Tina & Sandy
