Santa and the Tree

Hello Dear LLC Friends!
It´s me, Karita, finally back with you all.
First of all I want to say a huge thank you to my dear friend Sandy, who kindly helped me last Friday with my post when I was having Blogger issues, thank you Sandy :)

Today I would like to show you a Christmas card that I've made:
On my card I used the gorgeous papers from Maja Design´s new It´s Christmas Time collection. The papers that I used are: Christmas Thoughts, Christmas Market, Santa and the Tree, and Die Cut Sheet.
I cut Santa and his tree out from the paper and lifted them up with 3D pillows.
Under the corrugated cardboard you can see that I used White jute ribbon, and a piece of the Snowflake trim. And let´s not forget laces.. Here I used Frilled Cotton Lace and Antique Belle.
Here you can see how I´ve used the die cut sentiment circles. I made a little banner :)
And finally theres' a gorgeous tag from Melissa Frances.

That´s all from me now.
Thank you for looking and take care everyone!
Hugs, Karita

Anno 2013

Hello everyone. It's Thursday again and this time I got a Calendar to show you. I'm kind of in a "Calendar mode" these days, and have made rather many of these for sale. This time I've used Maja Design's It's Christmas Time:
I have used a chipboard as background, and the paper from MD is named Ornament. The gorgeous angels are from Inkidos Vintage Angels sheet. I have used Vintage Photo Distress on the edges and behind the picture is of course a bit of Cheese Cloth ;)
As you can see, I am learning to love the wonderful Organza Roses Trim, and I find them so easy to use both as a whole trim and a as separate roses to decorate with. The Memo Pins are from Tim Holtz. I have also used a Large Metal Corner, which I have given a coat of gesso and a hint of glitter.

Well that's it for this time. I hope you enjoy our blog and keep stopping by for inspiration. And we are now getting close to the premiere of the LLC Advent Calendar 2012!
Don't miss it ;o)

With Love

A little gift for Christmas

Good morning LLC friends.

We are showcasing the Maja Design "It's Christmas time" collection here at the LLC blog this week. I made a bottle-tag with the gorgeous papers. They come in handy this season if you want to make a little extra out of a bottle of wine to give as a gift to someone!

I used papers from the lovely Maja Design "It's Christmas time" collection. These are the Christmas Baubles (back side) and "Tid for Fest" from the 6x6 pad.

The flowers on the tag are Mulberry Paper Poppies and roses. The lace is the sand beige "Fleurs Des Jardins". My image is the Angel Tilda, colored with Tim Holtz Distress ink pads and markers.
I made small pearls with Liquid Pearls on the trees and around the image and Stickles on Tilda's star.

On the front I used a circle from the Maja Design Cut out Sheet. The two laces I used are the white Rhinestone Lace and the light antique Mauve "Antique Belle", the pearls are from Melissa Frances- all from the Live and Love Crafts' Store.

Here they are. The tag has room for a personal message on the back.
I hope I gave you some inspiration to go on with your Christmas projects!

Please check back to see Elin's beautiful project tomorrow!

It's Christmas Time!

...well not literally yet...
Fortunately; there's still time left to get all our Christmas cards and projects done, but this week here on the Inspiration blog, we are creating with Maja Design's new Christmas collection, "It's Christmas Time".
This beautiful vintage collection is available at the store both in 12x12 format and as 6x6 pads.

Can you believe that we'll have December the first on Saturday?
On Saturday a new challenge starts, but you have until Friday evening to link up your entry for the November challenge, Christmas and be in the running of winning a £25 Store Voucher.
On Saturday we are also kicking off with our Advent Calendar here on the blog.
Between December 1st-24th, every day there'll be a new Christmas project and every day there will be CANDY!!! All you will need to do is to leave a comment here on the blogpost and pop this blinkie into your sidebar. The html code can be found here.

Now let's take a look at what DT Member Tina has created for us, shall we?!

The papers Tina used on this card are: Merry, Preparations, and Christmas Market. The number tag is from the Die Cut sheet, which cleverly has one side with Swedish sentiments and one side with English ones.

Tina kept it rather simple this time as she thought the beautiful papers speak for themselves.
The bell has been attached with LLC's "Winter White" Seam Binding.
The image is from Pion Design's Fairytale of Winter.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Hugz,
Tina & Sandy

Ballerina

Good morning LLC friends and followers. Elizabeth here to show you our final project of the week. This week we are showcasing the gorgeous Maja Design collection "Shall we have coffee"  (original title 'Skal Vi Fika'). Please scroll down if you missed what the talented ladies of the rest of the DT have created for you this week.

I made a birthday card for you today:

I used Havrerutor (Oat Coocies)Karleksmums (Chocolate Coconut Squares ) and Kladdkaka (Sticky Chocolate Cake ) papers from the Maja Design. The image is the Ballerina Tilda from Magnolia. I made the wooden floor and walls with my Copics.

I used a Magnolia Doohickey's die to cut out the hart from sheet music, the charm is the antique style G Clef, and I used the antique cream Shabby Seam Binding.

I used the beautiful pearl center from Maya Road, it's called Vintage findings- Pearl Center, the pins are the dark chocolate Vintage Pearl Pins.

The gorgeous ribbons are the oyster creme Rhinestone Lacethe Lace Antique Belle, and the Brown Organza Roses Trim. Finally I used Pearl String to frame  the image. All I needed to decorate the inside was the gorgeous papers and some pearls (Melissa Frances)

Hope you like it!
Please join us next week for lots of Christmas inspiration.
Wishing you all a creative Sunday!

Oh...and please don't forget that the Black Friday Sale ends tonight at midnight GMT!

Purple Fairy

Good Eve Everyone,
Hope you've had a crafty day!
It's not very often that I colour purple hair, but today I felt like something a bit different, so here she is:  "Moon Glow" Fair, designed by Hannah Lynn.

...and this is what the complete card looks like:
She was coloured with Copics and for her wings I used "Rock Candy" Distress Stickles, for the flowers Stardust Stickles. The sentiment was stamped with "Dusty Concord" Distress Ink and distressed with "Milled Lavender". I placed a piece of Cheese Cloth underneath the sentiment and also used some 2mm Pearl String.
The paper I've used is Blackberry Cookies, both the front and the backside.
And what better embellishments to use than the new blackberries
The black ones sold out in an instant, but there are still some of the red ones left. The flowers are mix of Poppies, Chrysantemum, Shabby Chic Tulle Rose, and Kaisercraft & WOC Roses.

Enjoy the rest of your evening/day and please stop by tomorrow for Elizabeth's project.
I'm sure she has made something gorgeous with the papers from Maja Design's Coffee Collection.

Hugz,
Sandy

P.S. This is also my DT Card for the Sketchy Challenges. This last sketch of the year is sponsored by Live & Love Crafts, so for your chance of winning a Store Voucher, why not pop over and take a look at the sketch? This challenge runs until January, 1st.

Coffee Love

Good Morning Everyone,
Are you surprised to see me, Sandy here on a Friday?
Friday is DT Member Karita's day to post, but do not worry, even though I'm the one writing up the post today, Karita has made a wonderful card to share with us all:

The large background square is the backside of "Sponge Cake" and the smaller square was cut from the beautiful sheet "Flowers on the Table". As you can see, Karita also used a Heart Doily, which she cut out the middle part of, so that one can see the charming gingham background paper. The letters are die cuts that have been painted with "Picket Fence" Crackle Paint.
It wouldn't be a project from Karita unless there was some paint or gesso on it somewhere, would it?! :-)

To decorate, Karita used some Chrysantemums and Decoration Berries from Kort og Godt, and tied a bow with LLC's "Winter White" Shabby Seam Binding. She also used the metal charm "Double Heart".

Lastly; in case you were wondering what "Hääparille" means, my friend Google has told me it's Finnish for Wedding! :-)

Wishing you all a crafty weekend!

Postcard memories from me.

Hey lovely readers, it's Elin from a cold cold Norway here.
This time of year is the perfect time for crafts and hobbies as it's cold and dark outside, while warm and cozy inside. So I am often in my scrapp-corner these days. This week I got a card for you, a "paperbag"- card wich I just love to make:
I have used the gorgeous papers from the Shall we have Coffe collection by Maja Design. The sheets are named Leja's Cafe and Sponge Cake. I have used my Post Card stamp on the background and a digital picture. The sweet Antique Belle lace combined with Rhinestones Lace add some bling and vintage to it.
As you can see from the detail photos, I have used KOG Rolled Roses and I have cut a Hortensia to put underneath them instead of the cheese cloth this time! The Love Hanger got a coat of gesso, before I added a hint of Stickles Glitter Glue.

Wishing you a good week, with love

- Elin

Shall We Have Coffee?

Hi everyone, Becky here today with a card made with the gorgeous Shall We Have Coffee collection from Maja Design. I love all of the paper from Maja Design, but I think this must be my favourite, only just mind, lol, I love the purple and green.

I've coloured my free Tilda in with my distress markers, and added glitter with some glamour dust. The paper is both sides of Soders Hojder (The Heights Of The South), the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain Ink.

I've used some cheesecloth and along the middle there is some Frilled Cotton Lace with some Light Antique Mauve Antique Belle Lace over the top.

The roses are from WOC, and the purple berries are from Magnolia, I've also used a White Magnolia Shabby Chic Tulle RoseLilac Rolled Roses and White Chrysanthemums and a little bow made out of Plum Sorbet Seasonal Shabby Seam Binding, I love all of these purples, perfect for the purple phase I seem to be stuck in.

Live and Love Crafts currently have a Design Team call on HERE, it is open until 8pm GMT on 12th December.

Hugs,

First out this week is the Coffee collection.

Remember this photo collage? :-)
These are some of the cookies and cakes that have given name to the different sheets in the Coffe collection.
Tina went with Chocolate Coconut Squares and Oat Cookies.
Can't wait to see what Becky will serve us tomorrow!
