Little Angel

Morning everyone, Becky here today with my take on the favourite Christmas symbol, and I have a few on here.

The image is Little Angel from Saturated Canary, and not only is she an Angel, but she also reminds me of a little girl dressed up in a nativity play, and as I have two little kids I get to watch the plays and always end up with a lump in my throat. A few years ago Grace was Mary, I was so proud of her, she was only 4.

Also, not so much Christmas, but I do like watching snow falling and going out when it is nice and fresh, as I live practically in the middle of the sea we don't always get a lot of snow. After the freshness of it I would be happy if all of the slushy stuff didn't happen, but I do like watching it fall. Not so much a symbol, but the cinnamon stick smells gorgeous too.

Thanks for popping by,

Hugs,

Becky xx

Christmas Angels

We all have specific associations and symbols that we connect with Christmas.
This week we'll get to experience some of those, presented by the LLC DT.
Today it's Tina's turn and one of the things she associates the most with Christmas is angels...
The paper used is "Hope to see you soon"from Maja Design's A Gift for You collection.
The paper and the frame around the beautiful angel image has been embossed with Shabby white frantage, as have the poinsettias.
At the bottom of the card there's a double tulle impact :-)
Tina has used both the glitter tulle and underneath it, the mocha tulle from Maya Road.

As centre piece for the flowers, Tina likes to use the 6mm jingle bells for some extra dimension.
The liberty bells were attached with the gorgeous vax cord from Prima.

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Symbol

Morning ,

Here we are again, Monday and just 6 weeks to Christmas, can you believe it.  I haven't even started my Christmas shopping, thank goodness for the internet.

This week Sandy has given us the theme of "Christmas Symbol" to follow.  I believe I have a couple in this card. My first symbols is an obvious one, the christmas tree which I have done in white and used some pearl string around it.

My second symbol to me is the house, or the front door with a few bricks, lol.  To me Christmas is about family and opening the door and welcoming everyone for a little christmas cheer.

I have used the MajaDesign "A Gift For You" 6x6 paper pad.  Love love this collection.

I have used Cinamon sticks tied with natural hemp cord, cones, flower spray and red berries.

I have added to the Dutch Doobadoo Front Door a christmas candy stick charm and a prima resin door lock.

A close up of the tree.

I have added a little snowtex to the branches of the trees.  You can also see the gorgeous lace at the bottom too.

A close up of the cinamon sticks tied with natural hemp cord and a little snow tex.  You can also see the softwood bricks from DutchDoobadoo below, also covered in snow tex.

The bark heart also got a dashing of snow tex and structure paste.  You can also see the little poinsettas on the paper.
